I plan to work on my Bush-300 scene (below on blog) and brush it up some more. Even though many knew my Ted Kennedy likeness, a selected few said he is more pumpkin (round) head! Not bad for pushing a cartoon scene out in 2 evenings! :)

Tonight, I'm currently working on Jennifer (Dr Cameron on House), an image I designed and keep returning to work on the details. Here is the beginning of my draft.

Let's Spin!

I haven't raced in 10 years and I really doubt I will enter any of the bike races any time soon.
Last week a friend started a group ride, so I was invited out for my first spin of the year. I felt that itch to start a racing workout, but looking at my schedule, I believe I will only be able to attend a spin once a week, or every other week, with the boys! 'Sigh,'...long roads of 30 miles or more.
If anything, I'm looking forward to one of my old workouts!

The photos were taken during my heavy racing years, while winning a couple. Speaking of heavy, I certainly was, with all the carb intakes and grinding those gears!

Political Cartoon (Bush/300 movie)

What can I say, but I have a passion about drawing cartoons and my husband encouraged my involvement into politics! After seeing the movie 300, Scott conjured up this political scene idea, and I illustrated it!

I've been trying to upgrade my work, since my cartoon samples on my website are 4 yrs old. I have thrown my pencil on a few celebrities, but here is the start of my "Newest" Elvis, so far. I'm working on his cartoony body this week, so check back to see my finale!

Pepka - Scott's good buddy!

A dandy doodle at Barnes and Nobles!

Scott, JT and I ventured out for a fun evening at the movies. As we stopped by Barnes and Nobles for Scott's quick caffeine fix and JT's Bathroom Reader scoping, I sat and doodled a cartoon of us into my sketchbook with the only 2 markers I had with me! Here is my scan!
News flash...I've updated my marker mess to a dandy digi! I really love these 2 colors together and plan to work them some more!

Before I started my digital party, I had to practice on Scott. He told me this was a keeper! :)
And BOY, he DID look that serious! ha ha

Party Guests go digital!

These digital quickies had to be designed fast...meaning SPEED was a concern...so when you give more to one, you lose from another, like quality. I wish I can show off the likeness (a photo of my victims-LOL!) for I felt I was having a very good night! One thing I CAN say is I had all guests laughing and enjoying my cartoon-likeness results!
Overall, my client was pleased, so I'm pleased!
